Construction began in December 2015 on this beautiful, 16′ custom fishing boat, designed by Van Dam Custom Boats and brought to life by their team of craftsmen. With a beam of 6’3”, and a half load displacement of 2,100 lbs, “Geepy” (Grandpa) is built with African mahogany frames and joinery and sapele ply for her ship-lap topsides.

Gliding silently through the water, her 12 h.p. electric drive is powered by (4) 8D batteries providing her a 4 to 5 knot cruise, and about 6 hours of runtime. A built-in (household current) charger will top off her cells from a full discharge in roughly 8 hours. Hydraulic steering, a generous rudder and partial skeg will provide excellent directional control and stability.
